Nyhamn Sulfite Millsmell the decay
---

/ Home /

An abandoned Sulfite mill in Essvik outside city of Sundsvall, Sweden. Constructed in the late 1800s and in use until the 1970s. After the plant had shut down the area housed various chemical and mechanical businesses, offices and an art studio (!). The site is heavily contaminated and a plan for its depollution has been formed by the community.

Photos are from May 2008.
