Halt!

Yours truly

This outdoor-fresh compound opened in 1934 as a sports airfield but was soon incorporated with the local luftwaffe. After the second world war in use by Soviet forces until 1992 when it was handed back to the German state. Several ideas for what the 286 hectare area (706 acres) and 208 buildings could be used for today has been presented. Among them housing or an ecovillage but lack of funding has so far stalled any plans.
